English tutorial !

Here is the english version of the turtorial I did with Olivier Moreno (from Pencil-Guru ) about drawing and coloring a character with photoshop !

O2 - Make Them Giants

Here is a new animation project from Blinkink studio : ‘Make Them Giants’ for O2, official sponsors of the England Rugby Team, directed by Elliot Dear for VCCP.

As you can see from this images (extract from the work I made on the project), I mainly worked on design and layout for the background characters, but I also made explorations for one of the main characters : the famous rugby player Chris Robshaw  ! It was my first professional experience as a character designer and I really liked it !

Il y a quelque temps, Olivier Moreno, créateur du site “Pencil-guru" ( http://fr.pencil-guru.com/ ) m'a proposé de réaliser un tutoriel dans lequel j'expliquerais ma façon de réaliser une illustration de personnage de a à z (du rough à la couleur). 

J'ai donc enregistré mon écran tout en faisant des commentaires sur ma “méthode ” de travail, mes outils, mes choix… Puis Olivier a récupéré les rush et a fait un montage pour condenser un peu tout ça et garder l'essentiel. Il a également rajouté des infos et refait la bande son (vous n'entendrez pas ma voix, haha !). Bref, c'est un gros boulot, et donc malheureusement ce n'est pas gratuit !

Mais en cliquant sur le lien vous aurez déjà un aperçu du contenu (extraits vidéos). Le tuto comprends aussi les brushes que j'ai utilisées et le fichier psd. 

J'espère que ce tutoriel en intéressera (et en satisfera) quelques-uns !
